Nottingham Deco

The Deco is the completion of a lifetime spent advancing the state of LP playback. This Nottingham turntable not only incorporates over 40 years of experience, but for the first time couples that with what was essentially an unlimited budget. The product brief was to make the best turntable possible, period. The shape and dimension of every surface on the Deco (both visible and internal) has been meticulously designed and crafted. The stepped surface of the platter, the precisely tapered surface of the internal bearing well, all contribute to the Deco’s amazing ability to control internal resonances. The defeatable suspension offers unsurpassed flexibility of installation. The grooved bearing walls provide for perfect lubrication.

The precision instrument included insures a perfect leveling of the platter. The twin mounting pods for the tone arms fitted with their ingenious VTA adjustment allow for perfect and simple set-up. The meticulous choice of every material used in even the most apparently trivial places has resulted in, again, as Tom puts it, “A magnificent marriage of materials.” Every detail, right down to a special oil developed exclusively for the Deco, demonstrates that nothing has been left unexamined or left to chance.
