Introducing the Joseph Audio Pulsar2 Graphene: A New Standard in Mini Monitor Performance

Experience the exceptional sound of the Joseph Audio Pulsar2 Graphene, which sets a new benchmark for mini monitor speakers. The Pulsar2 truly delivers the scale of a much larger speaker, while maintaining the speed, precise imaging, and resolution that mini monitor enthusiasts appreciate.

Featuring the same ultra-high-resolution tweeter found in Joseph Audio’s flagship Pearl3, the Pulsar2 Graphene is seamlessly integrated with a newly-developed, precision-cast Graphene-coated Magnesium cone long-throw woofer. Dual sets of Cardas patented binding posts enable bi-wiring or bi-amplification, providing flexibility for your audio setup.

Discover the unparalleled performance of the Pulsar2 Graphene speakers by Joseph Audio, combining the power of a larger speaker with the precision of a mini monitor.

“The Pulsars are veritable light-sabers.”

— Steven Stone, The Absolute Sound

“Extraordinarily powerful low bass, considering the speaker’s modest dimensions…an uncolored, natural midrange.”

— John Atkinson, Stereophile

“For those of you who have dreamed of owning relatively compact stand mount monitors that really do convey the sense of reproducing (near) full-range bass, your loudspeaker has arrived.”

— Chris Martens, The Absolute Sound

“A two-way compact of impeccable craftsmanship and sonic insight. This bass reflex design makes listening deep into the mix an altogether revelatory experience. Borrowing much of the cabinet and driver technology (including the superb tweeter) and advanced Infinite Slope crossover technology from the flagship Pearl, The diminutive Pulsar outputs music with smooth bass response and profound midrange purity. Its overall lack of grain coupled with speed and clarity naturally bring to mind a ribbon or electrostatic. And in dynamic contrasts and transient behavior it is a veritable light-saber. It’s a speaker that combines the sophisticated sonic characteristics of a superb mini-monitor with the punch and much of the weight of a larger speaker. Ideal for the smaller home, and for our Mid-Priced Loudspeaker Of The Year Award.”

Impedance:

8 ohms nominal, 6 ohms minimum.

System impedance indicates whether the speaker presents a “hard” or “easy” load on the amplifier. True 8 ohm speakers are less amplifier and cable sensitive, and partner well with a broader range of amplifiers, including tube designs.

Crossovers:

2 way Parallel Asymmetrical Infinite Slope Crossover at 2 kHz.

Constructed of specially selected components, each network is tested and individually calibrated to a high degree of precision, resulting in a virtually perfect match to the original design prototype.

The steep filter slope ensures good acoustical behavior in the crossover regions, with a minimum of acoustical interference, along with low distortion and wide dynamic range. Driver acoustic responses are in-phase throughout the crossover regions.

Frequency Response:

The Pulsar delivers a very smooth and even response over a very broad listening window. Unlike conventional low order crossover designs, the speaker retains its sonic balance over a wide angle both vertically and horizontally. This results in a higher level of fidelity than a simple on axis measurement can reveal.

Listening window response:

2dB from 42 Hz to 20 kHz.
