The Reference Transport supports multi-channel DSD, as well as 192kHz/24-bit PCM used in high-resolution lossless formats such as AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC, WAV. In addition, the Reference Transport supports the latest in surround formats, such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

The Transport Powerbase

You can’t overstate the importance of a clean power supply. A reimagined design, paired with the transport, reduces the noise floor even further through specialized isolating transformers. MSB has equipped the transport with a single supply for the audio side of the transport, along with an isolated supply for the video side, yielding an unprecedented level of performance.

Best Connection Possible

MSB’s proprietary connection, the Pro ISL interface, prioritizes the most efficient aspects of any digital interface, using an infrared laser diode to transmit over a single-mode fiber cable. This enables features like clock sync and error correction, all while obtaining perfect isolation and ensuring the lowest possible jitter.

Aluminum Tray

Machined in-house from a solid billet of aluminum, our disc tray is robust and durable with a commanding visual aesthetic.

Anodized Finishes

Available in matte silver and matte black anodized finishes to give your Reference Transport a clean aesthetic. Replaceable foot guards are included to protect the chassis from damage. Any standard M6X1 foot can be installed.
