Isolation selected for the component it supports

MoFi Ultra Low Noise Feet are component supports developed with Harmonic Resolution Systems to reduce vibration reaching sensitive audio equipment. They are not universal rubber bumpers sold under an audiophile name. Each set of four is tuned for a defined equipment-weight range, allowing the internal isolation system to operate under the load it was designed to support.

Three versions cover components weighing 8–16, 16–24 or 24–32 pounds. Selecting the correct version means using the total component weight across a set of four—not dividing the published range by four. The feet stand 1.578 inches tall and use milled-aluminum outer housings. A bubble level is included so the supported component can be checked after installation.

Mechanical energy reaches an audio component in several ways. Loudspeakers excite the floor and rack; transformers and disc mechanisms generate vibration within equipment; footfalls travel through suspended floors; and a turntable stylus can turn any of that movement into an electrical signal. Isolation does not repair an unstable rack or a poorly placed turntable, but it can reduce the mechanical connection after the basic installation is sound.

The feet are intended for more than record players. MoFi lists DACs, preamplifiers, CD players, power supplies and bookshelf speakers among the possible applications. The right use depends on weight, center of gravity, chassis construction and the surface beneath the system. Tall or unusually heavy equipment may require a different solution.
